Response to Rene Campos' Press Conference

Posted Date: 03/02/26 (01:02 PM)

Dear BPEA Families,

Thank you so much for reaching out. We hear you, and we want you to know that your concerns are our concerns too.

We were deeply troubled by the actions of Rene Campos, a registered child sex offender and Fresno City Council candidate, who chose to hold a political campaign news conference directly across the street from our campus on Friday, February 27th, while our students were in school. This was completely unacceptable.

We want to be very clear — our school had absolutely nothing to do with this. Mr. Campos's decision to show up near our campus was entirely his own, and it was not welcomed, invited, or affiliated with Big Picture Educational Academy in any way.

We also want you to know that we are not taking this lightly. We are actively pursuing every available legal measure to safeguard our students and ensure that Mr. Campos does not cross any legal lines that exist to protect our students. The safety and well-being of our children is not a political issue — it is our highest obligation, and we will defend it without hesitation.

As always, please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions
