About the program
Big Picture Adult High School Diploma and our ESL program educates adults of all ages, and we help one student at a time. We build relationships and engage in the world around our students. Our Adult High School Diploma program focuses on high school completion, employability skills development, and career pathway preparation.

Program Overview
The graduation requirements for the Big Picture Center for Training Careers program meet the California State minimum graduation requirement in effect at the time of the student’s enrollment along with some
High School Diploma
Adult Education classes are open to anyone 18 years of age or older. Special circumstances permit individuals below the age of 18 to enroll.
There are two program choices:
Daily Program
For fifth and sixth year seniors.
Evening Program
For all adult students.
Graduation Requirements:
The graduation requirements for the CTC Program meet the California State minimum graduation requirements in effect at the time of the student’s enrollment, along with some additional academic and elective requirements. Students, who cannot graduate within two years because of credit deficiency, may be offered an alternative means to graduate as described in Education Code 51225.3. Some students may attend specifically to increase their English/Language arts and math skills to improve their employability and/or prepare them for other post-secondary education such as community college or a career college.
Most traditional high schools require 230 to 290 units of credit to graduate from high school. At Big Picture, we follow the minimum of 170 units of credits to receive a High School Diploma from the CTC Program.
Additional requirements for graduation are Research Project, Senior Leadership/Service Project, Graduation Portfolio, Exhibition of Learning, Personal Resume, and Exit Survey.
English as a Second Language (ESL)
English As A Second Language is a program offered to members in our community. No fee is required. Night classes are offered August through June, Monday through Thursday. Class hours are between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. A friendly, interactive language class that includes listening, reading, writing, conversation, grammar, U.S. culture, life skills and community resources.
